Sees a tentacle monster / Takes off suit
A Horney Samus post.
Your match opens with "Are you a Pokémon? Because you're super effective." You consider unmatching. You don't, out of respect for the effort, and because it is, technically, a compliment. Your flatmate has a new chat up line every week, each one borrowed from a video game. This week he offers to "unlock her achievements". He has been single since the Wii came out. You're playing Metroid at your nan's. She asks who the lady in the orange armour is. You explain that she's a bounty hunter who blows up planets on her own. Your nan says "good for her" and goes back to her crossword. Office party. A man explains that Samus is "basically just a girl in a suit". A colleague quietly points out that the suit has an arm cannon. The man finds somewhere else to stand. **Why it caught on:** Samus Aran, the bounty hunter of Nintendo's Metroid series from 1986 onwards, was drawn without her helmet and blushing for innuendo, and the joke was always the gap between a famously serious armoured hero and a cheesy line she would never put up with.
