I've recently decided to freeze myself to -273ºC. My family thinks I'll die, / but i think I'll be 0K.
A Chemistry Cat post.
Your chemistry teacher, every single lesson: "I'd tell you a joke about sodium, but Na." The class groans. He's been doing it for thirty years. He has never been happier. Your dad at the barbecue, holding a burnt sausage: "If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the precipitate." Nobody asked. He winks at the sausage. On a first date you say you're reading a book about helium and you just can't put it down. She stares at you. She asks for the bill. At least you got a reaction. In the office kitchen Kevin says he'd tell an argon joke, but he wouldn't get a reaction. Nobody reacts. "Exactly," says Kevin. He's the reason there's a sign about puns by the kettle. **Why it caught on:** a cat in glasses and a bow tie beside lab glassware, the advice animal of science puns. Science teachers have been printing it on worksheets for years, because a pun always lands better with a smug cat.
